Richard Stopa

Mr. Stopa is the founding principal of Bay Business Advisors.

Richard has been involved in mergers and acquisitions work as well as franchise sales for more than 20 years, having advised on over 100 transactions. 

His credentials include over 30 years of owning businesses and working in senior level management, sales and marketing positions in the IT industry.

He is experienced in computer distribution, computer reselling, e-commerce and software.  Mr. Stopa was the elected chairperson of CompTIA, one of the largest national computer trade associations.

Richard is a member of the International Business Brokers Association and is currently the president of the Mid-Atlantic Business Intermediary Association.

Mitchell Martin

Mr. Martin is a principal with Bay Business Advisors. 

Mitch specializes in the defense and government service industries, having held financial advisory positions with investment banks focused on defense and government service mergers and acquisitions.

He has also held positions in business development with a leading defense contractor. 

Prior to entering the private sector, Mitch was a Captain in the United States Army, and is Airborne and Ranger qualified. 

Mitch is an honors graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.  He received his MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT and his MPA from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. 

He is licensed with the NASD as a General Securities Representative (Series 7, 63).
